Beebyte understands that privacy is important and is GDPR compliant. Throughout this Policy, "Beebyte" and "we" refers to Beebyte Limited, Registered in England and Wales No. 9489207. "You" or "users", or "end users" refers to you.

In this privacy policy we describe what kind of data we may collect of you in connection with your use of this website (beebyte.co.uk), emails, the Obfuscator and how we may use such data. Below we call these collectively "Services". By using our Services, you agree to the processing of your data in accordance with this privacy policy.

Please note that this privacy policy is limited to data collected by us related to your usage of our Services. Where relevant we will describe what data we may send to particular third party providers, however we take no responsibility for the actions of those third parties, the content of their websites or services, or the use of data you provide to them or any products or services they may offer.

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time by posting a new version online so please review it frequently. Your continued use of our Services after the posting of a new version is deemed as your acceptance of the modified terms.

What data do we collect and why?

Personal data. If you email personal data to us (email address, name etc) then we retain this information indefinitely on our email provider. This data is only used to reply to your email with content relevant to your email. We do not transfer or store this data outside the email provider service. Our email provider for the beebyte.co.uk domain is Google LLC and we have entered into a Data Processing Agreement to ensure GDPR requirements are enforced. Google LLC may store this data outside of the EU, but we have entered into EU Model Contract Clauses with Google LLC to ensure adequate safeguards are met for Cross-Border Data Transfer. It is not possible for us to have the same guarantees for other domains (such as gmail.com) and so you should no longer contact us on domains other than beebyte.co.uk. Instead, you can contact support via support@beebyte.co.uk

We do not collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data please contact us so we can remove such data.

We use Amazon's CloudFront service to host our website which shows us aggregated metrics and so may automatically collect data such as device type (Desktop, mobile etc), operating system type, browser type, geolocation, referrer address. Personally identifiable information (such as IP address) is not available to us. We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Amazon to ensure GDPR requirements are enforced.

Your right to be forgotten

If you would like us to remove any and all personally identifiable information we hold about you, please contact us at privacy@beebyte.co.uk. We strive to honour this request quickly, but at longest can take up to 1 month (or 3 months if for some reason it is deemed complex). In some cases the request may not be possible (for example legal requirements).

Cookies and other identifiers

Our website embeds a link to the 'Unity Asset Store' (api.assetstore.unity3d.com) and this partner (Unity Technologies) may use cookies and other identifiers to provide a better user experience. You may delete the cookies from your device after using our Services.

Data security

All of your data that we hold is protected in accordance with generally acceptable industry standards and although no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data from unauthorized access. 2-step verification is enabled for all our email accounts.

Data sharing

Where required we may share personal data with Unity Technologies, for example when processing a customer's refund request the customer's email and name are given along with the order number. This is done to reduce the possibility of mistakes being made by either party.

We may also share personal data when we are compelled to do so by law, regulation or based on a request from competent authorities or when we face exceptional situations, such as detection or prevention of misuse or criminal activities.

Please be aware that any personal data that you voluntarily choose to display on any publicly available portion of our Services - such as publishing contact information on forum profile - becomes publically available and may be collected by others without restriction.

We may disclose non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous user usage data, referring / exit pages and URLs, application types, etc) with interested third parties to assist those parties in understanding the usage and demographic patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, or other functionality within our Services.

We may process your data outside the country where you live in. This can happen if, for instance, the service provider of our email address is located outside your country. In such cases, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data is processed lawfully and in accordance with this privacy policy.
